Meet Our Team of Expert Coaches
Founder Wasim Ashraf created Crawley Gamechangers in 2018 to provide the community with a place to develop and nurture the skills needed to be the best footballers they can be.
Wasim is a UEFA B Certified Coach and a FA National Talent ID & Scout with a BA Hons in Football Studies, an MBA in Sports Management and has worked in a variety of roles for Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Man United and Fulham.
What does he love most about Crawley Gamechangers? “I love the people, working with footballers from grassroots to the professional level. The biggest thing for me is knowing I’ve made an impact on people’s lives.”

Coaching qualifications and experience: FA Level 1 with two and a half years’ experience
Football experience: Played at Crawley town u19s/Horsham u18s and currently at broad bridge health 1st team/23s
Which age group and genders do you coach? Coached all age groups from u5s-u16s and currently with the u14s at Gamechangers

Best thing about coaching Crawley Gamechangers: The best thing about coaching at CGC is the amount of opportunity there is to develop as well as being able to have a positive impact on so many kids, not only teaching them football, but also life skills.
Full Name: Imran Khan – Development Manager
Coaching qualifications and experience: FA level 1; UEFA C (pending April 2024). Coached and managed men’s Saturday and Sunday league teams.
Football experience: Played semi-professional Essex Senior League. Former clubs London APSA, London Tigers, Bethnal Green United (now Tower Hamlets).

Best thing about coaching Crawley Gamechangers: The kids in our academy. Coaching kids of all ages and abilities is a joy. We have some great characters and always look forward to coaching them all. You never stop learning as player, or a coach. I’ve learned so much from our kids, allowing me to grow as a coach.

Full Name: Poppy Nicholls – Girls Development Manager
Coaching qualifications and experience: UEFA C, been coaching for 4 years from u6s to u18s
Football experience: Played the game for 15 years everything from Grassroots, academy, county level and tier 5 of women’s football.

Coaching qualifications and experience: I have a Bsc in Sports Exercise & Science and my FA Level 1. I am currently working to complete my UEFA C qualification.
Football experience: I previously played for Bognor Regis First Team but now play for Sutton United, as well as playing for the Chelsea College team
Which age group and genders do you coach? I coach the U14s boys team.
